Benefits of Getting Your Lash Extensions with Our Lash Artist in Training
Have you ever heard that lash extensions cause your natural lashes to fall out? I would be rich if I had a dollar for every time I read or heard someone say it. The short answer is no; lash extensions do not cause your natural lashes to fall out. My longest lash client has been with me for eight consecutive years.
So, what is the long answer? The long answer is that improperly trained lash extensionists cause natural lashes to fall out. When I attended esthetics school, we were trained in applying strip and cluster "lash extensions," resulting in lash extensions within my scope of practice. The truth is that strip/cluster extensions are very different from classic or volume lash extension applications.
Aspiring lash extensionists often wing it and try to figure it out as they go. They may take an 8-hour class or watch some YouTube videos and fake it until they make or break it. This often results in their clients paying the price and dealing with issues such as lash hair loss, infections, and even permanent damage to their natural lashes.
Why We Started the Lash Artist Training Program
Starting this program stemmed from my experiences as a single lash artist navigating the complexities of this craft. Initially, I found myself working alone, facing the challenges of mastering my craft while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of my clients. Realizing that a one-time course was insufficient, I invested significant time and money into additional training to hone my skills.
I wanted to create a supportive community and educational platform for aspiring lash artists within my business, where they could access ongoing training and mentorship. While I never sacrifice quality for speed, having this program in place allows them to develop their skills faster than I did. The goal is to foster a standard of excellence and provide them with the skills needed to deliver safe, high-quality lash services to you.
Peek Into Training for Aspiring Lash Artists
Our Lash Artist Training Program is meticulously designed to ensure trainees receive theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. Each artist is paired with an experienced mentor who provides one-on-one supervision for at least two months or until the artist consistently demonstrates masterful application techniques. The lash artist is also taught proper isolation, separation, adhesion, and styling techniques to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients.
The mentor inspects the application lash by lash to ensure it meets our high-quality standards. During this period, the retention rate for returning clients and the health and growth of their natural lashes are monitored.
Lash artists in training must complete a minimum number of practice sets before they are deemed ready to provide services to paying clients at a discounted rate.
What You Expect When Working with a Lash Artist In Training
Often, new lash artists try to walk before they crawl, resulting in missing vital steps. For example, I have seen brand-new artists offering volume extensions, an advanced technique, before they even mastered the basic classic application. They continue on this path for years, never correcting or even realizing they are missing out on the most fundamental techniques, making their services risky for their clients. Trust me, I recently did a post-application consultation on a lady who had extensions applied by someone with almost 10 years of experience.
Our training program ensures artists have a strong foundation at each level before moving on to more advanced techniques.
Clients can expect slightly longer appointment times and fewer extensions when working with a lash artist in training, as the trainee may take extra care and time to ensure quality work. As a result, the price of the initial set and infills will be less than what you can expect when working with our Elite Lash Artist!
Additionally, the mentor will periodically conduct surprise inspections of the lash artist's work to ensure consistency and adherence to our standards. We take the safety and satisfaction of our clients very seriously, and we want to guarantee that every client leaves with beautiful, healthy lashes.
Who May Not Be a Good Candidate to Work with the Artist In Training
Although we strive to deliver outstanding services through our training program, some clients might prefer the experience of our seasoned lash artists. If you have a special occasion or are seeking intricate and highly customized designs that require advanced techniques, enlisting the skills of an Elite Lash Artist may be better. Furthermore, clients who are pressed for time and require quick application or who can not commit to infills every two weeks may not be ideal candidates, as artists in training often require more time and frequent appointments for precision and learning. Lastly, if you wear a lot of eye makeup that can affect lash retention, booking with an Elite Lash Artist may be best for the best results.
Our Lash Artist Training Program upholds a commitment to exceptional quality and client satisfaction while nurturing the growth of skilled professionals in the beauty industry. By providing aspiring lash artists with comprehensive training and expert mentorship, we ensure a high standard of service and safety. Whether clients choose to experience the enthusiastic care of an artist in training or the refined expertise of our Elite Lash Artists, they can trust that their lash needs will be met with proficiency and precision. As we continue to support our trainees, we are proud to foster a community dedicated to bringing out the best in every lash artist and ensuring beautiful results for every client.
