Your Health and Safety Are Our #1 Concern
Your health and safety is and has always been our number one concern. As a result, we use universal/standard precautions and other steps to deliver you the best and safest service possible.
Universal/Standard Precautions are a set of infection control practices that healthcare personnel use to reduce the transmission of microorganisms in the healthcare settings. These precautions are based on the principle that all bodily fluids, open skin, and mucous membranes may contain infectious agents, and are used to protect both you and the staff of Brow to Toe. The universal/standard precautions include:
Handwashing
Using a hospital-grade disinfectant to clean tools, equipment, bottles, surfaces, etc., used during treatments
Properly disinfecting common areas
Providing you s with fresh linens
Wearing proper protective equipment like gloves and mask (when applicable)
Using standard etiquette when coughing or sneezing
Disposing of anything that is deemed as disposable or single-use
Here are a few additional steps
We serve clients by appointment only - We believe in providing quality, not quantity and schedule 15-30 minutes between appointments. The time before and after your appointment allows us to prepare beforehand and clean after your appointment. For example, we may take 10 minutes to prepare for a facial and another 10-15 minutes to clean and disinfect the room and tools after the facial.
We only purchase products/equipment directly from the manufactures - Third-party shopping websites are an increasingly popular way to purchase goods because you can typically get goods faster and cheaper. The downside, according to the investigative series Broken, is these sites have allowed the counterfeit market to flourish. As a result, the end-user is at risk of purchasing look-a-like products that contain ingredients detrimental to their health. We believe you deserve the best and only purchase products from reputable vendors, who produce award-winning products.
We invest in Proper training - In addition to having the right tools and products, training is essential to providing you with a safe and quality service. We have been properly trained in every service we offer and attend regular training sessions and webinars.
We DO NOT double dip or reuse products/material intended for single use - Double dipping is the practice of dipping a wax stick into the wax pot, applying the wax on the client, and repeating that same process over and over again with one stick. This is a BIG NO-NO because it is not consistent with universal/standard precautions. Although the wax is hot, you will need to get it well above 200 degrees Fahrenheit to kill bacteria, according to Dermascope. Temperatures this high would liquefy the wax and make it extremely dangerous to apply on the skin.
We have a child policy - We adore the children, however, we ask that you do not bring children to the studio unless they are receiving services. There are many chemical and physical dangers in our studio and we would be crushed if anything happened to your precious gift. Secondly, it is challenging for the most well-behaved child to remain seated and entertain themselves for 30+ minutes. As a result, the guardian is not able to relax, the provider is unable to focus, and other guests may miss out on the opportunity to enjoy their "me time".
Lastly, but most importantly, we take good care of ourselves so that we can take great care of you! Thanks for entrusting us to serve your lash, skincare, waxing, and brow design needs!
